What's your Halloween aesethic?
« on: October 02, 2017, 03:46:50 pm »
I've discovered lately that there's different Halloween aesethics, from toony to witches to skulls/bones to horror to gore there's so many to choose from. Which ones do you like?

I personally don't like scary/horror/gorery Halloween. Witches, toony and "classic" Halloween (bats, black cats, ghosts etc, basically what you see on most generic Halloween decorations) are my favourites but I like pretty much everything that doesn't fit in the horror category

I like them all, pretty much! The cartoony/classic stuff reminds me of my childhood but the more scary, gore, and realistic stuff is my favorite.
I also enjoy bones and skeletons (realistic ones), not just for Halloween but generally.
Same with ravens and crows, I love Halloween time because there's always a lot of crow themed decor in the stores haha

Two words.
Creature.
Feature.
The band completely explains my Halloween everything. I love them. They're basically spoopy Halloween songs that (Most of the time) have a fun tone to it. Annnddd, It's all, year, long!  :lgbtheart: An example is Gorey demise. Its going down the alphabet listing names, and singing how they died. The whole creepy tone to the song is just wonderful aghhhh-
Then also 'Aim for the head', how it makes the zombie apocalypse cool and catchy. I just love them, they have the perfect Halloween aesthetic~

I like both. I like it when something classic is redone into something different. Like a werewolf but it's actually scary, not like twilight werewolves.
Same with vampires and witches.

A mix between fall and traditional spooky Halloween. Think Harry Potter during Halloween lol
Some horror elements can be added, too.

Mine would be something more along the lines of clean (as in not gory) Gothic, or mystical, like something you'd expect to see in a Narnia movie or something.

I'd say more unsettling, subtle, horror then straight up jumpscare-horror.  Like, exploring abandoned buildings and hearing footsteps, or alien evidence. Not that I don't appreciate super gory stuff sometimes. (haha sorry)

But then again, I'm a sucker for classic, slightly tacky candy-corn-and-skeleton type Halloween stuff.

I really like the cute toony child friendly stuff but my favorite is low key blood/gore/horror, spiders, black cats, and pumpkins <3 oh and vampires
And I just really like the gothic non horror aesthetic as well ^^
though this is more my general aesthetic, not just Halloween XD

I really like the more cartoony style of aesthetic. I've never been one for the horror of gorey elements so I prefer the kind of decorations that are cute and make people laugh. Something more like Halloween Town, in theme with the Holiday but approachable and fun.
