Warrior Cats
« on: December 05, 2017, 09:41:19 am »
Warrior Cats, AKA Warriors.

Did anyone else read these books as a kid, or still read them?

The new series aren't as good as the originals, but I really love these books. They are written by Erin Hunter, a team of authors who have also written Seekers (ft. bears), Survivors (ft. dogs), and the newest Bravelands (ft. African animals). Warriors is undoubtedly the most popular and best, though.

Anyone else like Warrior Cats? What are your favorite books from the series, Clans, and characters?

My favorite characters personally are Jayfeather, Squirrelflight, and Crookedstar.

I was obsessed with the Warriors series when I was little. I haven't read any of them in years, but there's a lot of sentimental value attracted to the books.
I don't remember too much, but I adored Tigerstar, Brokenstar, and Scourge; I've always had a soft spot for the bad guys.

It was what got me into role playing and fandoms, honestly. My first fursona was inspired by it.

I used to read it, and I really enjoyed the first series, but I dropped the other series because I didn't like them. Erin Hunter (the team) really does write good books, and I do enjoy them, but sometimes it feels like the quality drops then climbs again. Not sure if the Warriors series helped point me in the direct of Furries though

Omg I used to read these religiously. I still have 2 shelves of my bookcase at home dedicated to them. I started in grade 4 with a bunch of friends so we used to rp on the playground, we used rocks as "prey" and leaves as herbs and stuff and it was great x3 I haven't read some of the newest stuff but I read all the old stuff several times. Bluestar was always my favourite cat

The first 24 main series books, 4 super editions, two spin offs, 3 of the prequels, and half of the MAPs on youtube in 2015. Firestar was always my favorite.

I know. The fist series is by far the best but the second series is still good. Things go somewhat downhill from there, though, and I practically can' remember much of the last three books. The magic just isn't there.

SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

And to Glide, yeah, I kinda agree. I was able to tolerate Power Of Three and Omen Of The Stars, mostly because of Jayfeather, who's my favorite cat. A Vision Of Shadows, although I've only read the first book, isn't that great though. The newer series have a lot of filler and I feel like that brings it down a bit, but I still enjoy them in the long run.
