I've just developed a Minish fursona, and I don't see many "custom" Minish.... the little things are so cute, and love to make humans happy, I still have much to create to call him complete, but the point is how often do you see a little mouse like inch tall elf creature from a Zelda game as a sona?

Its way more original than a Tiger, Kitsune, penguin, skunk, Wolverine, or even a blue heron.

... great now I'll have seven.

I think Faye's pretty original, at least as far as angel dragons go, she has unique markings (especially her "petals" that I've never seen before) her backstory is also unique (especially when it comes to ads since most of their bak stories are just "they're cute")

Skyline is fairly original, she has a bunch of unique markings and I haven't seen another NYC themed sona but her backstory isn't very original

Echo isn't original at all and falls into most of the AD sterotypes but I haven't been feeling connected to her at all lately so am thinking of getting rid of her

"Oh look, another Blue Wolf Hybrid thing with a white undercoat and a few markings, how original"  That's how I feel sometimes :\  When I first made Serix, I spent a long time trying to make him unique without trying to be too outlandish in nature with things, (like not including wings, horns, too many details/colors).  I've always wanted Serix to be unique and something that people wouldnt forget if they only saw him once.  Tbh I dont know if people would consider Serix to be unique, but I think he is, he's the right amount of uniqueness that I like him to be at without going overboard in my opinion, so I think that's what counts  :fox-:):

Technically yes a spider is very original, her color scheme seems to also be original I guess. I've seen fursonas with pink/red color palletes but not as deluded as mine her design isn't that original though(unless your counting her extra arms) but I like giving her cool clothes anyway :P

Kinda wished I settled for something a bit more generic though, I feel sometimes people think I'm just trying to be a special little snowflake just cause of my odd species choice >.< People complain when your generic and people complain when your "too" original, you can't win x.x

I consider Alastair original, yes. I haven't seen any other fursonas like him.

But then there are aspects of him that are pretty unoriginal ... just look at his colors, haha.

I consider my fursona to be unique. To be honest, I've never saw another dove in the society. I suppose I may be the only one, or at least I'm one of a minority. I enjoy being a dove a lot. The character is my design for the most part. The actual inspiration for my fursona is from a Japenese dating simulator, Hatoful Boyfriend.

It's a furry raptor.
I mean, sure. You can draw similarities to the Avali, but nyeh, they got more digit-grade legs.
That, and design wise they aren't even close to similar.

Maybe not in a physical sense. (Kitten with blue on ears, pawpads, and tail) but the backstory behind the name (Flick) is. She's a babyfur who hates the dark because dark means alone so anything blue on her glows in the dark. She's called flick cuz all you can see is her tail flicking back and forth. She gets annoyed easily so that's why her tail is constantly moving.

I wouldn't call my fursona original but just more of a less common species. I'm still developing my fursona in ways to make her more unique but I feel that I still want to keep it on the realistic side though real badgers tend to look slightly boring sometimes that's why I'm thinking of ways to jazz mine up c:

Sometimes I feel my fursona is pretty basic as it is just a reflection of myself. I have militeristic values thus it is named Pershing after a great American general. No voldrago was just two Russian words that I have probably incorrectly connected meaning, "precious freedom" which is a core value in my life. Grey foxes are just one of my favoured foxes, and other than that, it is practically just a carbon copy of myself.

Although, I do plan on making a more unique, less me-like fursona. Well kind of, as it would probably reflect some of my more radical feelings, emotions, and values.

As far as I'm concerned, yes. Manokits are not a common species to have as a fursona, and a color scheme like Calliope's ought to earn her some points for only really being two colors (As opposed to the 3+ I see on most anthros... No offense to anyone here, of course ^^). Granted, Calliope probably isn't too original a name, but I like it a lot.
