I think Jaluna is a pretty uncommon name, so... My fursona name makes me very unique to me :3

Actually, believe it or not, Deer are pretty rare in the fandom.  That's pretty unique too.  =3

I was a wolf-cat-thing at one point in my own head. But I like the idea of being a deer anyway :3

Since we're somewhat on the topic of names (thank you, Jaluna), and the title of this thread is "How Unique are You?" and not "How Unique is Your Fursona?", yesh, I think I have a unique username.

It started when I began naming my roleplaying characters after concepts, objects, or that sort of thing.  I eventually settled with Airbag as my username because... well, it's one of my favorite words, and fits in with my character-naming system.

Ah, neato! my naming system sorta varies. I have some interestingly named characters, and some not so interestingly named ones.

Nah, they're not horrendously rare. You're around the seventh or eighth deer i've run across in the year I've been living furry.

SHUSH JALUNA THE SEVENTH! YOU"RE KILLING THE MOMENT!

But, Seika Saisei which actually literally translates out to "Sacred Flame's Rebirth" is hopefully a semi-unique name.

Damn my curiosity with Japanese symbolism.

Folf.

Not really unique, except for species.

Do you consider your fursona original?
« Reply #75 on: November 20, 2010, 02:30:06 pm »
I'm just curious as to whether you consider your Fursona's design and species as being either rare or generic? Though, Deer aren't among the most chosen species in the fandom. I'd be lying if I said that they were rare. They're probably among the most overused ungulates and herbivores (along with Horses and Rabbits). As for his design, other than his rather long black/brown hair, he's pretty common (but I guess that suits me). I'd probably place him half way between being considered either rare or generic as he isn't a type of canine.

Note: The perceptions of others shouldn't be a deciding factor of what species your fursona should be. I personally think it should be whether or not the species suits your if you really like it.

Well, species-wise, probably not. Coloring-wise... I don't think so, but a lot of people tell me my fursona's design is really unique. But, yellow and purple are complementarity colors that are often used by others, so it's not really ~creative~.

I don't consider mine that original. However, he is a mix of Fox and Wolf...So I guess it's original in that aspect and the fact that there aren't that many Folf fursonas! (That I have seen anyway, there are only a few here :3).

As for his clothes: No, they aren't very original but they are in the sense that Mikune wears what I pretty much wear every day - Just plain and simple clothes (I do wear shirts with wolves on, but most days I don't). The colourings aren't very original as they are basically the colours of a Wolf. Infact, a lot of people think my fursona IS a Wolf when I first meet them! I don't really think you can call it unoriginal though because they are natural colours.

For anyone thinking their fursona isn't original - It actually is. I mean, it must have a different story to everyone else's, right?

What about the Fez? I don't think I've seen another fursona with one :3

No. Want to know how my fursona came about?

Freshman year, someone came up to me and said. "HAY, MAEK ME A DOG LADY STICKING HER TONGUE BETWEEN HER FINGERS IN A V-SHAPE!" So I did. When I colored it I liked the design, so when I entered the furry fandom and I got sick of my seal fursona I switched to that character. No back story, no personality, nothing. Just an online representation of myself. :)
My signature needs a change. It's been four years.

Frostblind is just an other generic gray wolf with cobalt eyes.  Nothing really stands out except being a spartan.  So I do have a very generic Fusona.
