What if your fursona was a beaked animal? That would be problematic.

I don't think you could even talk...?

Try speaking without moving your lips, then read these fine pages of internet.  :fox-;): (I frickin' love these foxie smilies!)

And, parrots are the only birds with a highly developed syrinx. Beakie Furries would still face problems.

My point is that it wouldn't be much of an issue, as parrots basically prove theres an 'alternate path' to speaking that doesn't require the movement of lips. I'd say it's not far fetched that this could extend to all furries that have beaks, after all your talking about a fantasy creature that's half human and half bird: They shouldn't be able to conceivably fly either, or even exist, but far fewer people complain about that.

The only reason I see that a bird furry would conceivably be unable to speak was if it was a straight intelligent animal with an animal's form and all that. :/

Ah, but my WOLF smilies pwn them.

Anyhow, I believe the anthro part of being a furry would give you the throat stuff, so the only problem with beaked furs is the beak.

EDIT: Though, I am QUITE sure no human brain would be capable of using the 4 arms I often see bird furries with, so, you'd have to choose between bat-like wings (but with feathers) or no wings at all.

Ya, I'm sure if someone invented (magic, or whatever) a way to turn us into furries, they would be able to work around/make them work. But I think I'd be satisfied with the transformation, with or without wings.

Beaks that aren't bone stiff around the mouth area (but the rest normal) would solve the dillema, but no matter what you turn into, it would take a long time to get used to. That's a given. And birds don't salivate... I forgot.

DE F I N I T E L Y

Foxi has a DEATH SCYTHE, what could possibly go wrong?
I'd become her any day. She has wings, she's a reaper, her eyes can turn fuchsia, she's not a badass... why wouldn't I want to become a deadly efficient reaper? B)

^ Plus, I'd have a right to say THAT 24/7.

"Excuse me, ma'am, what's your occupation?"
"I'm simply a deadly efficient reaper!"

Yes; most certainly. Preferably Marvin or Zetsumei, but Bluefox would offer a nice change as well. Probably because the three of them are all but immortal. I wouldn't consider side-effects at that moment, as they could be handled later. Reversibility would be nice, but not in any way required for me to make that decision.

As long as I'm not the only one, yeah.
Would I be the only one, or would half the population become animals?

Being able to change forms, especially between 'sonas, would be nice. I think that's a big factor, at least for me.

I wouldn't want to be the only one, but otherwise yeah probably. As long as 1/2 or more of the population were anthropomorphic animals, (and in the same style too, not like some are zootopia foxes and others are girls with cat ears) than I'd definitely be willing to join them. I probably wouldn't want to be Dolly though, she's pretty conspicuous and doesn't look like me irl.
