cooking!!
« on: November 28, 2008, 01:21:29 am »
ok all you cooking furs out there i need recepies/stories

i guess ill start with my bromlet

this is a disaster story week stomachs please do not attempt

i was on a camping trip and i had to cook french toast. now i dont know how you cook french toast but we make a cup of eggs stir them then dip bread in, but this time i dropped the bread in and left it there (this was during the jiffy-pop war wich is a story in its self). once i was done rescueing the jiffy-p i came back to find that the slice of bread had.. soaked up all the eggs... so instead of throwing it away i made a bromlet the recipie will be at the bottem. when i fisheed out the bread it was practially liquid its self and i dropped it. though it did retain its basic blob it was now infused with dirt. after frying it on a dirty skillet for about three seconds we (my assistant cookand I) fed it to our patrol leader evan. upon convincing him to try it he was bitten by the soon to be dubbed bromlet, after the biting he threw it in to the roaring fire that we had going. needless to say i crawled out of the fire and in to the woods, its just a good thing that it started to rain or else  there could have been a forest fire.

BROMLET
cup of egg
bread slice
dirt (needs to be enough for a good coating never be shy to add more)
fire
water

break open the eggs mix to gether well
soak the bread in the egg untill it is impossible to tell the diffrence
add a pinch of dirt
cook on extra supa high for three to five seconds then
add more dirt
this makes one bromlet

Well if you want recipe's Woman's Day magazine has some.  If you want to be ghetto you could just find one at a store and copy the recipes out of it.  And Wal-Mart has them for free on these little things in the produce aisles.

i love to cook. I was helping my mommy cook for thanksgiving. Though my coworkers bug the crap outta me to make eggrolls, my mom teaches me how to make some other filipino thingies n stuff. But since my cultures are mixed, i tend to make up recipes as i go, "soul food". My husband doesnt complain.

though i have had instances where ive burned the pan because i didnt put enough water for boiling. That sucks lol.

You need recipes?
Here's a three step way to get plenty of them:
1) Learn Norwegian
2) Search for what you want recipes for (in Norwegian)
3) Read through all the online recipes that are there for you to access.

Personally, I am great at following directions, not remembering them, so I can't give you any recipes, even though I make decent food, when I actually bother cooking (when I don't have food placed in front of me during the day, I make ramen. Err... That is, "noodles".)

One-Eyed Toast

Materials: Bread, One Egg, One tablespoon of Butter or substitute.

1: Cut hold in the middle of the bread and throw it onto the no-stick pan.
2: Immediately crack your egg into the hole in the bread.
3: Cook it like a pancake, flipping it when one side is done.
4: One eyed toast.

My old old family-like neighbor would make us these all the time, and I LOVED them.
I only recently learned how to do them too :P.

I don't really like cooking, but sometimes the outcome is worth it. Like if it's cake, or cookies or something along those lines :b
One eyed toast sounds good. But I'd probably beat/mix/whatever the egg first (I always liked scrambled eggs more than sunny side up) and end up with french toast instead xD
