I tried the speal idea, didn't work out too well. >.>;
Anyway, my species is fairly common, hooray for originality.

Not sure if my species is unusual really... Dinosaur's are semi-common, but I guess it's unusual to a certain extent.

I'm bumping/renewing this thread, it seems pretty interesting.

Myself, I am just not a fan of wolves/foxes/cats etc. They just seem too generic. Silas is a beaver, and Chiptune is an Indigo Bunting, neither of which pop up very often. Also, when I get my book finished, I will try to have a diverse and interesting cast of characters. So far, I've got a leopard gecko and a capybara as 2/4 main characters, and I can assure you there are plenty others you normally don't see.

I like more obscure choices, because they add a sense of unique and stylish characterization not often seen (not to say that wolves and others aren't unique, just making an observation that they pop up A LOT). Beavers aren't exactly cool, but they are special in an odd sort of way.

That's actually pretty true

I'd love to see more monkeys and penguins, they're such cute animals and would make adorable sonas and suits (I haven't seen a monkey suit yet but did see one penguin)

rare fursona species?
« Reply #133 on: April 14, 2015, 07:41:52 pm »
There's probably already a topic like this, but I couldn't find it. So why not make one
Is there anyone with a fursona species that is considered rare?
I'm an opossum and I've never seen much of those

I just made a Luna moth fursona a few days ago. Any insect species is a rare fursona actually, as with some reptiles as well

That is true. I would also someday like to see a bee fursona. I've seen it on google images. But never before have I seen it become something a bit common.

All my sonas are common species but Panda is a platypus which is really unique (haven't seen another one). I also saw a moth once, some penguins and a giraffe which were all pretty unique
