Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (SPOILERS)
« on: July 16, 2009, 10:31:51 pm »
Ok, not sure if anyone here is a fan, but I saw it today. Not as long as the book, but the most important parts are still there. No major plot changes, Dumbledore is dead etc. Horcruxes were also explained pretty well for anyone who didn't understand them. This one also had the most humor out of the series, making me laugh a couple of times. Oh yeah, and young Tom Riddle was awesomely portrayed. And Fernir Greyback the werewolf was in it, but he didn't have any lines, not did he transform at any time.
Not my favorite out of the series, but it certainly wasn't a flop.

4/5

I'd say it was probably my favorite, especially since I thought the fifth movie was bullcrap. That's probably why it was so good, cuz I know I wasn't the only one who hated the fifth. The directors really went out of their way to make it realistic.

I hated the way it was cut, it felt really rushed.
Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care?

Pretty much... :/ But all in all since the book itself was big enough to begin with it was pretty good abridging for a typical movie time, though I heard weird rumors before it came out, like separating the movie into two parts due to its size
I just want to see what they're gonna do with the last movie

Hey at least they are cutting the 7th into two movies, excellant call on that one...However, in my personal opinion, a lot more happens in the 6th than the entire 7th. If you know what I mean! However, die hard Potter fans are bound to find portrayals of characters such as Bellatrix to really interesting to watch on screen.

It did indeed, even at nearly two and a half hours feel extremely rushed! For those unfortunate souls who choose to only see the movies an not ever read the book series I would easily say they miss out on a massive aspect of the character development and the actual meaning behind the series.         Needless to say however, it's worth watching!
Shouldn't love be without any limitation?

I did find Bellatrix very interesting to watch, especially in the 5th film. She was sort of hard to picture in the book. Even if the movies are not the greatest, they can still help you imagine the books when you read them.

Also, I'm glad they decided to put the next film into two parts. If they kept it as one, it would be terrible.

I guess this movie just made me P.O'd because they used the Half Blood Prince thing...like, four times. Then the end Snape is like,

"HOW DARE YOU USE MY SPELLS AGAINST ME I AM THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE SLEEP WITH ME HARRY POTTER."

I guess Snape's past had NOTHING to do with THE BOOK since IT WAS NAMED AFTER HIM.

:I

Harry is starting to look to old, but other than that I thought it was good.
