Does anyone have any good (or bad) music that they are listening to? If so, please tell us about it!

I'm currently addicted to The Five Browns. They're a group of 5 brothers and sisters that are all Juliard-trained classical pianists. Their playing is absolutely amazing. My favorite on their new CD is George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. It's so well done. I highly recommend The Five Browns to anyone who loves classical piano.

I highly recommend CREED: Greatest Hits. it is AWSOME! If you whant something heavier, go for Disturbed: 10,000 Fists.

acidplanet.com is good if you like techno, electric, or anything for that matter.  I got a real treat once when i came across some clasical music that was remixed into techno, and it sounded awsome :D

My personal favorite would have to be Pink Floyd. With their deep, and complex lyrics, compined with Roger Waters' insaciable ability to understand what "Does, and does not" sound good, with their instruments.

Also, with Pink Floyd, it's interesting to listen to their music from different points along their career, as the genre often flopped about; Beginning with Psychedelic Rock, and ending with light Acid Rock.

True, but I don't use limewire to get of my stuff.

I currently have 5814 songs in my library.

I used to have that much.

But then I realized it was pointless and stupid because I never listened to half of it.

I do not want to list all the people I listen to because then I will have a VERY long list. My music taste is quite varied and random.

My first favourite band was Queen, I adored Freddy Mercury and I guess I always will. When I was a little older I liked Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and the Rat pack, along with some Opera, classical and computer game music. It then progressed to all of that AND anime music and some J-pop and K-pop to kiddies songs and sound tracks to movies I like. Then it was back to the 90's Dance music I used to listen to growing up. Just for reminiscence really. More recently however I have became ADDICTED to:
David Nevue (a solo pianist)
Leonard Cohen (a poet/singer/songwriter)

I really need to stop listening to Leonard Cohen he can make people suicidal. but I suppose it's good to have different taste. I really don't like metal, dance, hip-hop or anything like that though it just depresses me, too much noise and not enough soul. In my opinion.

I disagree. Although I don't like rap that much, there is definately ALOT that has deep meaning. Not the mainstream stuff naturally; but the undergound kind, if you listen you can get it. You still might not like it; but that is another story.

PS: I'm seeing Porcupine Tree tonight!  8)

Oh yeah the underground stuff has a deeper undertone but the usual mainstream stuff is 100% pants.

The same could be said for any genre of mainstream music. ;)

And I'm sure I'll write about it in my LJ. :3
