Well, the cool thing about IFPL is that it's simple to use, and it's been around almost as long as the WWW itself, so everyone knows where to find it for the most part.  It'd be nice if they made a new version of it, but the problem with a new site is that it'd take quite some time to build up enough of a user base to make it even vaguely useful.

Fair enough.  Keeping the existing site but just overhauling it would probably be the best move.  The trouble with that would be all the members who, for all practical purposes, no longer exist. I'm guessing 90% of the registered users have left with no intention of ever coming back.  That's the other problem I have with the site.

The only thing I dislike about the site is the lack of information about people (and, it might just be my ignorance, but also a lack of an ability to try and e-mail, private message, or just talk to them).
The prey approaches, still unaware of its imminent danger. Please, come a little closer. Just a little closer.

I'm on IFPL, but there are only two furs remotly nearby: my friend LC, who is a member of this forum and who I actually know IRL, and a guy from the college in a nearby city who started a livejournal for furs in the area. (It's never updated though)

I need fur contact. Wah. I want cuddles.  :sad-fox:

GIMP is very good. Not the most user-friendly thing about however. Photoshop's nice 'cause it's a universal standard, so if your using guides or stuff it'll usually cover photoshop.

Paint Shop and Photoshop cost exactly the same amount for me, as well as Fireworks and GIMP ;)

I like furry art, but can't draw for beans. I guess I just wish I could be semi-furry, but i don't feel like dressing up in a suit.

non-sense, semi-furry. When you joined, you are furry and always will be now. :wuf-:):
You dont have to wear a fursuit, and you don't have to be an artist, but your still a furry to everyone.

I think dressing up in a fur suit would be comfy. ^_^ Like a nice pair of pjs but all over.

I think fursuits look like they'rd be hot to wear, so I don't plan on getting one. Filing my nails into claws is good enough for me!

Once a fur always a fur : D

Anyways with teh fursuit thing. Yes they would be uber hot so I wouldn't really want to own a full suit only a partial but if I visited places with AC and cold weather I would consider a fullsuit then. But other then that not really.

I've done a few mascoting gigs, namely for local kids' book fairs (do you know how degrading it is to be Clifford the Big Red Dog?), and it's actually not as hot as some people think. Then again, maybe it is just because I'm used to getting stuck in "hot" things, like ten pounds of velvet on a hoopskirt, or uphosterly material and makeup that doesn't breathe, or chainmail and armor that fries your brain.

...plus, there are specially made "cool" collars and vests you can wear underneath a suit that should keep you nice and cool. Not to mention, most have a fan in the head somewhere.

unfortunatlly most vest cooling systems are like "ZOMG!?!" expensive and when most fursuits are designed most people do add fans into like back of the head where its not noticable and have the fan system in teh muzzle part somewhere from what I have seen and heard.

And ya Clifford the big red dog is kinda degrading XP  no offence to all you Clifford fans >.>
