Canceling a account has never been so difficult

i like that. very interesting. when i decide to quit aol, i wont call customer service.

Please note they said the guy was fired after XP

Also here is some other services you should avoid calling at any cost

I kinda wish they'd train customer service reps before releasing them into the wild...I called westelcom, my ISP and was on the phone for 3 hours trying to figure out why i couldn't connect. Something about packet scheduling...hmm...I hate customer service.

Heh, this doesn't suprise me, AOL has always been excruciatingly difficult to cancel.  Usually they'll tell you that everything is taken care of, and then they'll keep on billing you anyway, to the point where it takes 4-5 calls and a BBB report before they'll actually cancel your account.

Although, I don't think they're that bad anymore, they got sued hardcore by the Virginia Attorney General (their main office is two hours away from me here in VA) for their CS reps making fraudulent claims to customers.

Customer service in my opinion is horrible with almost everything. I tried to call dell for about a week to ask about repairs and I never got a direct answer, Always asking me random questions. When I cancelled my aol account they tried to talk to me in a similar way to what happened on that link.... They really need to change something with some of these companies. Some are great while others are horrifying in quality.
