Uh, you SHOULD be able to check by going to Computer, right clicking, properties, device manager, and display adapters. At least, I'm able to with my nVidia.

Desktop: A model 1 Nintendo Wii running Gentoo Linux via the Homebrew Channel. An anti-piracy + Anti-lockout machine!
Media Center: Original xBox, fried drive, fried bios. Working on it.
Original laptop: Nintendo DS Lite model 2, running DS Linux with a 4 mb Ram expansion -- I still use it a lot!

However, not everyone abuses their hardware to do anyhthing and everything. I just think shutout is BS... If you want an actual PC, I have one desktop and one laptop:

Desktop: Tandy 1000HX... Still runs like the day it was bought.
Memory:  128k... Really, you don't need more for a Tandy.
Hard Drive: 10mb
OS: DOS 2.x (Wikipedia insists 2.11. I don't know.)
Other Notes:
I don't own it for how "fast" or "powerful" it is. It's been proven that, when all else fails, my piece of crap computer bought in a Radioshack in Ohio long before I was born will still run. It's had everything from Lab Reports to code crunching to Senior Projects done on it - and never once has it broken down on me.

Laptop: Acer Aspire 5100, unknown submodel.
OS: Windows 7 Premium x64 + Ubuntu Linux 9.10 x64 (WUBI) + Wolvix 2.0 Beta 3 (Embedded) + DOS 7.x (Embedded)
Memory: 1gb of DDR2
Hard Drive: 80GB
CPU:    AMD Turion 64 X2 (1.6 GHz, 2x 256 KB L2 cache)
Video: ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 (Part of motherboard/inbuilt)
Display: 15.4", 1280 x 800 x 32-bit
Notes:
I bought this for school... It's fairly mid-low end, but it was more than ample to do everything I wanted to do with it at the time. If I'd still be doing flat number crunching, it still would be... As it is, I help maintain the labs and supercomputers, so I'm in no rush to buy a new one.

The only game I have ever played much of on my laptop is "Out of Order". It helped kill the time.

I am stuck with XP so what I have is fine for HD video editing. (However, if my next short film is a success, maybe Windows 7 64 bit...)
OS:
Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU
E6300 @ 2.80 GHz
2.79 GHz, 3.50 GB of RAM (Maxing XP)
500 Gb of Storage
Memory Card Reader
DVD Burner/ Reader
Extra slot for future Bluray burner
NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT
7.1 Creative Audio Card (I only need 5.1)
A firewire Adapter
2 1360x768 LG DVI monitors

And all costs less than my sister's Macbook Pro yet plays my HD videos in Premiere Pro in real time at highest quality.
