My nearly 4 year old machine was a monster.

Processor: Intel i5 Quad Core
RAM: 2 X 4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X
Board: ASRock Z77
Drives: 2TB WD Black HDD
Video: GeForce GTX 670 2GB

However on Friday, a few modifications are coming in the mail.

Video: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Drives: 4TB WD Black SSHHD and 500GB WD Blue SSD
RAM: 2 X 4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X

I'm so freaking excited.

That's quite an upgrade.

True I will have to look into that.

EDIT: Turns out most Speccy (and dxdiag) are both outdated to the point they don't read above 4gb.

Currently I use both my family's iMac and my own PC.
iMac:
2008 iMac with 4GBs of RAM, an AMD 256-megabyte GPU, and a dual-core Intel CPU.
Currently runs OSX El Capitan.

PC:
DDDR3 8 Gigabtye 1866 MHz Ballistics RAM
MSI A68HM Grenade Motherboard
AMD fm2 a4-7300 CPU(Dual-core, 4.0 ghz)
USB WD 500-Gigabyte HDD
My GPU is built into my CPU, which a AMD Radeon HD 8470D, which has 2 gigabytes of VRAM.
Currently runs Ubuntu 16.04.

The full parts list for my current PC can be found here:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VctczM
A little update I just put a Radeon R7 250 graphics card in my PC, and I also got Windows 10. My computer still lags a lot from just playing Minecraft, which is like the least resource demanding game you can get. Over the summer I'm going to get an AMD Athlon 860K, which isn't nearly as good as a Ryzen 1400, but is ten times better than the CPU I have now. I'm also going to upgrade it with hopefully an SSD, and a GTX 1050.
The full parts list for my upgrade is found here:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2sCfcc

I might not be able to get all of these upgrades over the summer, but I should get most of them.

I don't care for Windows much, especially after Windows 7. I have no need to run it on anything, so I just gave up on Windows not long after getting my MacBook a year ago. Yes, Macs are overpriced, but I don't care. I'd buy another, even if a similarly spec'd Windows machine is half the price.

Also I hit the wrong button, I meant to click modify but hit quote and didn't realize it until after because I'm an idiot. Oh well.

Yeah after using Windows 10 for a few months, I've decided I'm going to get a MacBook soon. Windows is so buggy these days.

Thanks! :)   PC + Monitor+ Mouse + Keyboard all cost me £1240/~$1600 (keep in mind that there is 20% tax extra on everything in the UK so the price is considerably higher). I was gonna buy it prebuilt but I'm glad I didn't.

Also, I forgot to mention my laptop which is a MSI GE62 2QF.

I don't care about this POS, some AMD processor, 6 GB RAM, Windows 10

I mainly use my MacBook Pro for everything, still setting the Hackintosh Gateway laptop up, currently working on getting the correct battery kexts in my free time. Just got a working WiFi adapter for it. I rarely use my Windows 10 machine, unless I play Windows-only games.

It is so worth it. I never thought I would love my MacBook Pro as much as I do. Expensive, yes, but MacBook Pros last for years. I never see Windows laptops from 2010 still regularly used as a daily machine. Only thing Mac sucks for is gaming, but I rarely play games anyway, so it doesn't affect me. First laptop I have ever had that gets, and still can get, 16 hours of battery life, despite being almost 2 years old now.

Oh and that glass ForceTouch trackpad on 2015+ MacBooks and MacBook Pros ruins all other laptop trackpads for you. Apple's trackpads are currently unbeatable.

Yeah my family iMac is about 9 years old, and the only thing it doesn't support is the newest MacOS.
I'm kindof a wanna-be gamer right now, but I also want to be a content creator. So, after I upgrade my PC (Ryzen 1500, new DDR4 RAM, RX 560, gaming keyboard, mouse, etc.), I'm getting the new 2017 MacBook, and that should serve my tech needs for at least a few years.
