Hmmm, over the last few years, I've gone through many a work choice. Including, but not limited to, Forensic Scientist, Teacher, and Athlete.

Well needless to say, I've gotten over all three and think I've found my true calling in Music Recording/Production.

Computers, many sorts of jobs with computers. I love them, and I know a good bit about them.

I am also considering a job as an undertaker... no matter the day, there will always be people dying for you services.

When I was a kid, I had no clue whatsoever, I just wanted to have fun.  When I was about 10, I discovered how freaking cool computers were, and at the time, everyone kept telling me "Computers are where the money is, if you know how to use a computer you'll always have a job".  And, well, that stopped being the case around 2000.  But, I saw it coming anyway, and I wanted to be a network administrator like my dad.  I spent all of middle school and high school learning Windows server and workstation administration (since that's what I had access to), and when I graduated high school, I had this idea in my head that with just a few certifications, I could easily get a job in my career field.

This was about the time that the IT bubble burst, and the ratio of jobs to applicants was so skewed that unless you had a master's degree in CS and a decade of experience, most companies (especially in my small town) wouldn't even give you the time of day.  I was able to get an entry-level job doing computer repair for a small local ISP, but it was such a horrible work environment with such pitiful pay (and no chance for advancement) that I finally said "screw it" and left the field entirely.

During school, I did a little programming on the side, and even took some computer science classes, but the concepts taught were so abstract or over-complicated that I decided there wasn't enough money in the world to convince me to be a professional programmer.  What I know now, that I didn't know then, is that I was learning at such a rapid pace, and out-paced the curriculum so severely, that the concepts my classes spent entire days teaching were things I grasped at the mere mention of the name (things like "object-oriented design").  A few years ago, I decided "Hey, I think I'll learn PHP today", and a week later, I was better at it than the person who initially taught me.  After aseveral months of rapidly increasing my PHP skills, I showed my work to a very experienced PHP developer, who responded with "Seriously?  You're better at this than I am, why are you not doing this professionally?".

Thus, I decided pretty much on a whim to be a professional web developer, and scored my first true career-oriented job about a year and a half ago.  Unfortunately, the company screwed me over, and I've had some poor luck finding work since then, so recently I said "screw it" and decided to be self-employed.

Also recently, I've come full-circle and stepped up my computer repair/tech support business (also a self-employed venture).  There was a time when I was so frustrated with the work that I wanted to walk away and never touch it again.  I've found that while $8/hour wasn't enough for me to care, I can handle it much better at a billing rate of $40+/hour (and for anyone who's looking to offer their tech services to others for a price; trying to be the cheapest is a losing business model, and while your maximum attainable price is pretty much whatever you want it to be, people who pay $60/hour have higher expectations than people who pay $20/hour).

So, that's my overly long answer to this post :-P

Graphic Artists, possible in advertising and sales stuff. I'd love to make a living doing game and video posters/box covers, maybe a few soda cans. There's a lot I can do in that feild, and it's very flexible. Gonna try and freelance after I get in and learn the ropes, and get my name out there.

Well, I guess I've always wanted to be an animator, but I'm not very good at art as it is, and I don't really have the money to go to classes and whatnot to learn.

So it's more of a dream then anything else.

I think I wanna be a dog groomer :3

I've been stuck for a while on either dog groomer or veterinarian, but I think I'd enjoy dog grooming more. x3 There are things about being a vet that I'm not sure if I could handle....

My dream would to be the guitarist in a famous band, but, really, anything having to do with music recording or prefomance. But guitar will always be my passion.

I'm definitely set on something to do with working on cars, not quite sure on mechanical or body though. Owning my own shop is something I'd like to do, though I'm not sure if I have the kind of work ethic it takes to run your own place (my boss has been in business for about 15 years and still has to work his ass off)  :?

My dream job with cars would be racing them professionally, though I doubt I have the driving skill it takes to make it anywhere with that.  :(

What do I want to be?  A superhero with the power to transmute objects into chocolate, of course.  I'd love to be able to make a living as a poet/writer, but the probability of such seems unlikely.  As such, I plan to go into CIS (Computer Information Systems) and get whatever kind of job I can there.  At least my brother can help me with this'un, heheh.

I'm already taking courses in IT, I've already got a Cert III, probably going for a diploma/advanced diploma after school. But recently it's been suggested that I be an English teacher, which I'm seriously thinking about now.
