Is there a rule somewhere that says we can't bash browsers?

No there is no rule against it but if you notice there are better boards suited for that discussion instead of the board where we try to help resolve problems with the site. None of us are against anyone we just appreciate it when stuff is posted in the right areas ^.^

I asked her a question pertaining to why she wasn't able to see the buttons, and it just went from there. Firefox, may, infact, fix this problem.

I can see the buttons if I log onto someone else's computer and they have FireFox, so I'm sure the button problem here is just because it isn't compatible with IE.

Doesn't IE have a fix wizard? It might be worth a try, I think the option comes up when you go to uninstall it.

Like the others I'd reccommend you use Firefox, I had loadsa problems with IE, but haven't had any with Firefox.

Haha, Eddy don't be silly!

You can't uninstall IE, on any standard Microsoft computer, anyways... It is permanently in place, and you'd have to be pretty tricky to remove it...

While this is being discussed, I'd like to mention that I can't see the buttons either, and I'm using Firefox.  That is all.

If you're using a program that takes up a lot of bandwith (i.e. any P2P client, such as Limewire, Kazzaa, or a Bit Torrent client) the page may not load fully.

P2P?  Yarr, I be no pirate.  I care not fer lettin' the crew of Kazaa board me ship to infect me vessel with all manner of virus.  It be hard enough copin' with scurvy.  Yarr.

But no, seriously, everything else on the page loads instantly.  Not nearly long enough for timeouts.

... No one uses Kazaa anymore... Not too many people are using limewire anymore either...

The older, better, torrents are making come back, for the simple fact that there is a. A lack of viruses, B. A lack of misstagged music, and C. YOU GET ENTIRE ALBUMS!!!

http://webaccelerator.google.com/

This web accelerator might fix the problem. It works with both Firefox, and IE. It will probably load the whole pages, because it directs it through google's server. Be patient with how much time it saves. It starts out only saving about .5 seconds on loading a page, but it eventually works its way up to around 5 seconds.

I've noticed a few members have a mood above their avitar.
At least it says mood and you can select one in your profile.
I just don't see anything beside the word mood.
It'll be a nice feature when it gets working.
Who gets one and who doesn't?

Hmm I had a look and noticed a drop-down menu in my profile with mood in it. As to who has it, I have no idea. It's prolly something Rei's in the process of adding in...

I need a screenshot of what buttons people are not seeing.  I'm here at the school computers and i am having that problem, so to fix it I need to know what to fix exactly.

I don't use FireFox because I don't want to install another program which does the same thing another program on my system already does.

But uh... even if the 'broken' box appears in IE and not in FireFox, technically, it's still broken, isn't it?
