For Iko when I first drew him, "Iko" was the first name that popped into my head for some reason. I grew to really like it, and it stuck.
As for Spike, "Spike" just so happens to be my favorite name ever! When I hear "Spike" I think of someone cool, creative, artistic, and a bit unique, like me. I'm actually planning on legally changing it.

I was originally going to use my middle name (William) but it seemed to generic. So i googled it and found Wilhelm to be a German cognate of William. Not the most creative in the world but still a good name.   :D

Damius, the original one was my original online name, and hence my first fursona's name (It's also the main villain that was kind of a knight in Divinity Draco Ego 2 Damian). Setsuna was added later for two reasons, one because Setsuna sounds like Setsunai (Which means longing sadness) and two the song that hit me called Setsuna plus. (Which was also sounding kinda depressing.)

Echo was named Echo because, he's basically an echo or a version of my sad/depression self in its purest form.

Exoventure, once I stopped being depressing and decided to put the crap that happened behind me, I decided I wanted to be a writer or artist. My main theme for all my art, is to take people to my world, to take them on a venture outside their world. Hence Exoventure.

Even though I don't have a fursona yet, I'll still tell you guys how I got the name 'Twizzy'  :fox-:P:

I used to be called 'Twister205' everywhere I went when I was around 8. It was a randomly generated name that came with my Xbox 360 when I made an account, so I sort of just kept it because I liked it.

When I was around 11 I decided the name was too lame, but I didn't know what to do ;^; I wanted a more "cute" name, so I looked at 'Twister205' for like 2 minutes and then BAM...

Twizzy :3

I've kept it ever since  :lol-fox:

Looks I need to update :o
Lee's name was recently changed to Nagi. I always like this name for some reason but felt weird using it ^^' then I named one of my ocs Nagi and ended up like going by that name so much more and honestly Lee never felt right. It had a good meaning since its the only name thats actually based off of me, just never fit me^^ thought about it for a little since I don't like changing my characters names, but I like going by Nagi so much more than Lee, so I changed it :P

Rudyard Kipling is my favorite poet. He also made the jungle book. Inukami is a pun of inugami and kami. Kami can either mean "god" or hair but in this case it's spelled 犬髪, so it literally means dog hair.

So then i was like " Eyy, Peanut's a cute name, 'les go with that! " And thus, Peanut the Felis catus was created.

I've always been a big fan of anime and a lot of other Japanese things, and I'm an arctic fox, so that's where Shimo comes from, since that means frost in Japanese. Whiteclaw just sounds good along with Shimo.

One day on IRC I tried to use the nick Someoneorother and I don't remember if I hit enter early or if it cut the end off the name but I ended up with the nick Someoneoro instead and I've stuck with it ever since.

I already mentioned how Krowdon ended up with her name.

Masozi and Tanja aren't my fursona's, but they're my characters so I'll just say how they got their names, which really isn't very interesting.

They're names I got from people I met. So like, when I go to Disney I always read everyones nametag, I can't help it, and sometimes I like the name enough I write it down. That's what happened here with Tanja and Masozi.

Chip, my lamb fursona's name, is just a shortened and altered version of my real name. It's also supposed to be a reference to the idiom "Chip off the old block", because amidst all of the cute farm stuff I associate with him, he's also actually intended to be a cloned sheep inspired by the scientific marvel of the 1990s, Dolly the Sheep.

I've mentioned before how Koyu got her first name (it being an old RP name a friend once suggested to me years ago), but her name isn't simply 'Koyu'.

Her full name is Koyu Argall. It used to be Koyu Roselle, but I realized I didn't like the way it sounded, nor did 'Roselle' yield any importance to me so I decided to change her last name. Irl, I have some Welsh heritage and I find Wales itself to be very beautiful and interesting, so I looked up Welsh surnames and discovered the name, Argall. It fits her first name very well, and if you take her full name it actually means, "Dark dweller in a quiet place," which I thought was really cool.  :lol-fox:

Obelisks were important architectural features to the ancient Egyptians, and some were covered in writing depicting the lives of important people. I'm a big [ancient] history nerd, and obelisks have played an important role in helping us uncover some of the mysteries of ancient Egypt. It is also the name of an Egyptian wine.

Being that my fursona is a Nile Crocodile, I wanted to use something from one of my favorite ancient civilizations as their name. Plus, I like wine and how culture and origin can affect it in drastic ways. Obelisk fit the bill and just seemed right.
