Absolute zero. In fact, if anything, if they give it a good review, I know to stay away from it.
That still counts as being influenced

Really, they don't. I go based off my own opinion, usually.

For movies yes sorta, mostly use to judge if a movie is worth the money to spend at a theater. Love going to the theaters but its not cheap so I rather wait for the blu-ray release unless its sequal or something I really wanna see.

For video games though..not so much. Sometimes it determines whether I get the game on release or not but if I want a game I typically get it whether others think it sucks or not XD

So its kinda 50/50

If there is a big group of haters I might start to hate something.

tbh i usually watch the critics after a movie so usually its doesnt affect me until later lol
though a really bad trailer with bad reviews can be off putting

If it's something I'm really looking forward to, (like a sequel to a movie I liked) then they don't affect me. Otherwise I listen to them

I often avoid things that have bad reviews. Some things I won't care about, especially if it's something I've been excited about for a while (like that new TF movie)

They don't really affect my opinion tbh. There's plenty of "bad movies" I like and plenty of "good ones" I don't. My opinions on how good a movie is generally lines up fairly well with the critics but I'm going to enjoy it regardless of what the critiques say

It depends, if I know the reviewer I'll most likely trust them if not and I like the trailer/preview/etc it's probably worth a try
I'll build a better world someday

For me, I personally rarely buy any games without at least taking a peak at the reviews however if the game is receiving largely negative reviews I always will without fail read the reviews to see what people have to say. I don't give any credence to sharing reviews with little to no information and poor grammar is an instant red flag for me when it comes to determining credibility. I always try to read the negative reviews to counter balance showy cinematic trailers that deploy clever handwaving to get you to like a product without really knowing wholly what you're getting into. From there I balance that with some positive reviews and if I still need more information then I follow up with video reviews and skim through let's plays. It's a meticulous research policy but it certainly works. Doing my homework saved me from buying No Man's Sky  :lol-fox:.

So Yes they do influence my final decision quite a lot but I still draw from other sources and account for the subjectiveness of fun and personal likes.
