I tried my paw at playing the tuba a looong time ago, but had to quit due to braces. That's when I took up percussion, and I haven't been the same since.

Tuba's are cool sounding... although very loud.

Aww Zach you'd have looked cool with a tuba.

Violin would be cool, and piano is definitely fun.

I played the violin for a while. It's very hard and because it doesn't sound beautiful immediately it makes me sad. I quit playing it long ago though.

I used to play the Clarinet and Piano. Hated clarinet badly but had to carry it on during school but enjoyed Piano but had to stop. I wouldn't mind getting back into the Piano and maybe composing my own songs on software :P

Piano in my opinion is pretty easy as once you've learned the basics then you'll just know it. Just remember what the lines and spaces mean when you go off the stave ;)

Piano is beautiful although my left hand never enjoyed playing chords or playing at all... it became challenging.

Heheh, for some reason my left hand is less responsive than my right so unless I practisced lots then it would sound a mess.

Haha, I've played piano for ten years and still take ages reading that... and the bass clef...

I know some basic piano, but not enough to play a full song. Even though I sing and play bass, it takes me forever to read music.

I cannot read music, something I couldn't be bothered learning as I don't fancy taking music further than just fun to pass time.

Heheh aaah Whitewolf I am so glad your left hand is lazy at piano too makes me feel less weird.

It's tough because I've spent 5 years reading drum music, so I think of drums instead of notes when reading it...It's something you have to work at so your brain can switch between it. Even after playing piano for so long, reading music is still tough and I need to work out chords so that I can play from memory.

I'd recommend either Sibelius  or Guitar Pro. I think Guitar Pro's cheaper.

Sibelius is amazing if you know what you're doing, but utterly useless if you don't. Learning how to use it effectively is super tough.

I never have any idea what I'm doing with a program! ^^ I'm sticking with Finale Notepad for now, since I can't afford anything, though it's kinda blegh. I just mess around till I find something that works, somehow messed up an IMac experimenting with Reason and Guitar Band, still dunno what I did....

There's tons of programs, but you have to pay for them, alas. Blech! >.
