Thawspace is a component of Deep Freeze, a highly effective administration application.  My school used it on all Windows PCs to prevent any unauthorized changes from being made, and I worked in the IT department my last two years of school, so I had to learn how to deploy/admin it.  Upon rebooting, it reverts the entire system to its last saved state.  Unfortunately for you, DeepFreeze is exceptionally good at what it does, there's no bypassing it without an administrative password, or without clean-formatting the drive and rebuilding the system from scratch.

I know that three years ago there was a bypass on it using the process's name handle and some AHK evil at startup. It still required that you be able to manage to boot without it running at least once, and you need five or six restarts to do every last piece of it into the grave. The end result of me and my group of friends finding this one out is that one of my friends, who now lives with me, never got any further in school than his sophomore year (he's almost 19 now). Take that as a honest warning and don't mess with it.

Corel Painter when I use a brush size over 70 it freezes up and UGH IT SAVES MY WORK AS BROKEN FILES SO I CAN'T RE OPEN THEM RAGE.
Plus it won't let me save things as a PNG or open PNG files. >:U

Which is why rule #1 for admin-ing Deep Freeze is that you never, ever, ever let it boot without DF enabled unless you're actively working on it.

Gameguard.  Just... gameguard.  I know that y'all don't want people hacking and cheating and whatnot in your online games.  But really, hiding the game under system resources so the task manager can't monitor it or shut it down when it freezes?  Making the program nearly impossible to remove without third-party assistance?  Major do not want, thanks.

Sony Vegas.
When I try and use more than one audio layer, it'll shut itself down. And it'll do that about four or five times before I can actually get the layer to stay.
If I use more ten files in my project, it'll take about 20 minutes to open. An average file will take about 10-20 seconds to open.
Not to mention that it'll randomly start lagging so bad that I can't do anything.
For such a quality program, I really do want to beat it up.

THIS

Gameguard just SUCKS, it ruined the game BOTS(well Acclaim kinda sucked too). Gameguard never did a good job stopping hackers... They just made the game lag.... A LOT

Standard 3D modelling in my college is using a combination of that and Blender. I have absolutely no arguments with this statement, trust me. (And I do like Blender, but I wish there was a way to "deweirdify" the interface)

Let's see... I think I'll make a list of every last darn thing that annoys me and why.
1)  Windows Vista. It just plain sucks. My computer came preinstalled with 10 antivirus programs, all which thought that the others were viruses. Whenever I started up, I had MASSIVE slowdown and all the programs each give me a window and 9 popups. I got so fed up I installed Ubuntu. Only downside is that it is harder to work with Java.
2)  Steam. I wasted $200 trying to buy Portal.
3)  Mac OS X. It would be greal if you could install it on non-macs without hacking or VM, actuall install, but you cant.
4) IE. I changed the default background color on pages and Win-dont Explorer wouldn't work.  I had to reinstall and it reinstalled the AV programs whitch had learned their lesson an were not going to go away.
5)  ... I will add more later.

Just about any part of Vista pisses me off. My 6-7 year old mac boots up in half the time that vista takes and Vista likes to freeze up quite often.

I've Been at war With Windows 7 for months. Well, not really war, as more of trying to keep a sick patient alive. Daedalus's (my computer) win7 had this issue with ram. If we ever capped the 4GB, it would BSOD. As a result, it damaged a huge number of registries every BSOD. The fixer arrives tomorrow. Since I upgraded to 8GB, we haven't had many problems, but there is still the occasional PFN_LIST_CORRUPT or BAD_POOL_HEADER crash. But its clear, windows 7 is struggling. It lags to do everyday tasks, and if you look at its specs on the comp spec thread, you know it shouldn't. I hope that the registry cleaner we ordered works.

Trend micro internet security.

Every time I install a game or program, I have to repeatedly click the Allow button.

It updates at the stupidest times too.

Steam. Bloated piece of crap that tried to combine social networking with iTunes. Except you download PC games. All the games you download from there are smothered in DRM, which doesn't help when you're backing up your Steam games onto discs.

Windows Live Messenger (MSN): I just don't really like this, even though everyone uses it. Also, my friends keep get removed from my friends list, which is annoying as hell.

Frostwire.

Never again will I download a program off of a suggestion from a certain friend. This thing seems to take forever to download anything, and even when it does download it I can never find the file. Not to mention I hate to way it looks and how everything is played out.

Skype and Windowblinds.

Skype lags me to all hell if I wanna play a game with up, freezes consistently, and even has the nerve to get caught on messages forcing me to restart it.

Windowblinds is both good and bad. It's annoying at times, a little buggy, not letting me do this or that and screwing up Google Chrome.

Explorer.exe... how I hate you so.

As well as the system idle process... Why do you have to display? Why do I need to see that 84% of my cpu cycles at most times are NOOP?

And don't get me started on the QT framework when all I want is a handful of nice GTK apps. (It's a linux thing; like the difference between GNOME and KDE aesthetically but not functionally.)

Three words:

Windows.
Movie.
Maker.

Climb back in to the scum hole in which you were programed, you default piece of malware. I use you because I have to. It's either spent two hours endless converting files to new formats to make them work with your selective compatibility screen and then splicing together video with tools that could be likened to the video editing version of the freaking pioneers to the Old West, or simply let my video project be a flop and take a bad grade. Which, if I recall, after the first time I used you, still happened. So thanks, WMM, for everything you haven't done for me.

...jerk...
And that's why they call me Duino Duck- Drake of Daring, Mandarin of Magnificence, Water Fowl of West Seattle!
