Samples and Loops
« on: November 12, 2010, 03:28:21 pm »
Just thought I'd make a topic in accordance to my college homework; gathering drum loops, samples and other audio-related things.

If you use sampling-based equipment, where do you usually get your (legitimate) samples from? Any websites that can be of use, or anything like that?

If your college has a music department the might have a few CDs of samples in your library. Failing that, try a public one. As far as I know there aren't many websites offering free samples left on the internet.

The best ones I do know of are:

http://www.looperman.com/
http://www.free-samples-n-loops.com/
http://www.freesound.org/

I'll give these a shot tomorrow. Granted, it'll probably be "click every button I see" and then actually try them when I load Reason up. :p
