I was playing some type of multiplayer game when I came across a furry server, unaware what a furry was, I joined it and was surprised by the colorful assortment of anthro animals. It interested me, so I google'd it afterwards and became a furry.

Well now that I think of it a lot of stuff influenced me to be a furry the first was from a thousand ways to die. It had a episode with furries in the dessert which made me think I wonder what those are. Then after awhile I though after seeing more furry stuff around that it was great. Now i've become part of the fandom and made many good friends.

I was browsing around Imgur. A post about Disney's "Robin Hood" made the front page. Someone in the comments said something like 'this movie made everyone closet furries'. I searched up the term online and of course, got a lot of porn and hate websites. I thought it was cool be fine, minus the porn.
But, it seemed to be all about porn(I can definitely see where some haters come from on this aspect). Eventually, I found some evidence(via youtube) that the fandom was not about porn. A month later, I joined.
Dear all,
I am no longer active on this site and would ask that none of you send friend requests/chat invites/etc. to whatever account of mine you may find. Thank you.

At first it was Starfox. Since I liked the design of characters a lot I searched for video games, comics, animes, mangas, etc. that had similar characters, and then I found the fandom (art, stories, fursuits, etc.) and I was fascinated with everything that it had created  :fox-:P:

I found the fandom after watching a movie, Alpha & Omega.
I really liked the movie so I googled it and started reading some stories wrote by other fans of the movie.
And in some of the comments in the stories I heard someone mention "Furries"
So I looked around on the Internet and eventually joined the fandom.

I found out about the fandom through Google. I was on a story sharing website and it had the disclaimer "No furry stories!" And out of curiosity, I looked up furries. Then I saw babyfur art on the image site and immediately fell in love with them.

However, psychologically I've always been a furry, just without knowing it. As a child, I loved Sonic the Hedgehog, The Lion King, Calvin and Hobbes, Pokémon, ect. Anything with anthro animals in it.

I was a furry ever since I can remember. The movie that really made me loving furries was Cats Don't Dance. I would watch it at least 5x a day every time I went to my grandmothers. I didn't find the fandom in till I stumbled across some art on Deviant art.

I got into the fandom from the games Spyro and Okami. I didn't go on the internet very much when I was a kid so I didn't really see the fur fandom until I was older. I had a character and EVERYTHING before I knew what the fandom was. But then, I met someone who was a fur, and she told me about the fandom, and I said, "THERE'S A FANDOM FOR THIS!?" and I got uber excited. :D
I've left (again), probably for good but idk. If you wanna talk to me outside the forum, feel free to email me. Just tell me who you are in the email pls

I had an obsession with animals and kept trying to draw them. Then I ended up on deviant art and that's basically how it happened

Had an obsession with Disney as a kid. Came across Lion King fansites, which led me to Furcadia. I played for a few years, and left. (Yes, I did wonder why I couldn't visit the 18+ areas. I thought that they were due to RPs with swearing and drugs.) Fast forward to 2010. Came across ED. Found an article on furries. The article ended up making me want to join the fandom. Ended up wanting to get a fursuit, visit conventions, and roleplay.

Well before i found this site, i was on this site called voreplay. At first i thought it would be fun, but once i was on it for a month, and not one guy was into females, (it was an all male site by the way) i was starting to lose hope. But one of the users was kind enought to tell me that maybe i was not meant to be a vore fan. He said that i may have furry blood in me, and told me about furry teens. So after i did my research on furries, i was hooked! Once i had enought information, i decided to check this site out. It looked pretty cool so i registered. And here i am now three days later, as a black and white husky, and i am doing fantastic! ;3

It was Late May/Early June 2009, I saw these two videos and it sparked my interest. I looked up Tirrel and found FA. I basically lurked for a year until summer of 2010. I found a link to FT on FA and decided to check it out. I decided to make a character and sign up for the forum, then when FA reopened registrations (In September, I think they were having some security issue or something) I made my FA. The rest is history. C:

I had a friend in middle school who was all into the fandom. She showed me her fursona and I thought it was pretty cool, so I decided to make one of my own. :D

I don't exactly remember how I found out, but I started considering myself a "furry" when I started looking specifically for anthro-related stuff, which was about a year and a half ago. I was reading furry books before I even knew about the community, but I didn't realize what it was.
