Video game music
« on: November 30, 2010, 09:19:12 pm »
Does anyone here listen to any video game music?
I'm obsessed with Namco's work in the 90's, particularly the Ridge Racer and Tekken series.

My favourite composers would have to be the Sampling Masters: Shinji Hosoe, Sanodg, Ayako Saso and Takayuki Aihara. And also Keichii Okabe.

I got some songs from various Naruto franchise (moveis, games), and it's pretty uplifting and unusual.

FIRE EMBLEM series
METROID series
RESIDENT EVIL series
THOSE OH GOD LOVE.
Especially Fire Emblem's stuff. It's great. :)

HALO has some good music. Like, some really good music, if you listen to it.
Oh, and this song from Bayonetta is love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV6E13xODyA
The Bioshock series also brings back some great older non-game songs in its soundtracks, as well as some nice original orchestrals. :)
Meh.

Thanks for the links ^^
I've heard some of the stuff from Klonoa, I prefer Klonoa 2's music though.
Katamari Damacy is awesome, even though the original game never got a European release.

Parasite Eve looks awesome, if I remember correctly it's that survival horror/RPG that Square released on PS1 in the 90's.

Somehow I forgot Professor Layton music. ._.
The music in those games are amazing. Especially the music from Unwound Future. I'm the only person I know who like those games though.
