Anyone know of any books that involve furry characters? Not redwall though...

(If this is in the wrong section sorry)

You can check out a book called FURRY! The World's Best Anthropomorphic Fiction!

Then there's a series of books known as Warriors.

To be honest, I don't know of many books that are a good read and are furry-ish besides the above and Redwall.

Paul Kidd is an amazing Furry writer. The two I'd recommend are "A Whisper of Wings' and "Fangs of Ka'ath". I've reviewed both of these on this board.

The Island of Dr. Moreau is like the original furry book. H. G. Wells is one of my favorite writers, and this book is one of his best.

I've seen the movie...it's quite interesting and makes a good point.

Ick, did you see the old movie or the newer movie? Either way, neither of the movies is as good as the book.

I didn't know that there are more than one. It was whatever my biology teacher put in the VCR way back when. Interestingly, this was about the time that I was getting into the furry fandom.

The newer one is obviously a late 80's or early 90's film, just based on the style and the directing, and the fact that they talk about manipulating DNA. The original film version, I think it was made in the 60's, was a little less high-tech, but I liked the acting.

Either way, both of the films are extremely different from the book. H. G. Wells was a genius ahead of his time.

Black Beauty, Warriors, The Elvenbane (dunno if you'd all call it furry or not. It's largely about dragons), The Trumper of the Swan, White Fang, to list my favorites

I've always thought Hermux Tantamoq was rather "furry" - what do you think?

"A wolf Story" by James Huggins caught my attention recently. It was a good read, but kind of preachy, like the Narnia books (which are all still awesome, though)

You could check out Kyell Gold although his books have some NSFW content in them.
