Deadmau5
« on: January 23, 2011, 12:11:53 pm »
Oh my God, I don't know why I haven't made this thread earlier. So does anybody here listen to Deadmau5? I used to only listen to Rock because I thought "Any other kind of electronica music is bad." So I have a friend who introduced me to Depeche Mode about a year ago and I thought "This is pretty good actually". So then my musical interest in electronica built up over the course of 5 months, and in June of last year I discovered Deadmau5. I fell in love with his music. So I was wondering what is your favorite deadmau5 song or album would be?

I don't mind the album "For Lack Of A Better Name", but as far as House music goes, I prefer Daft Punk. deadmau5 seems to be a bit empty to me.

I prefer Daft Punk as well, but Deadmau5 is number 3 in electronica bands of awesome,
1. The Chemical Brothers
2. Daft Punk
3. Deadmau5

as for songs, I love Animal Rights.

Ghosts N Stuff :p

Yeah, that's the only song by them I like...but it's more to do with the memory of what I was *ahem* doing when I first heard it.

Personally when it comes to that kind of music I prefer weirder stuff like The Prodigy and Autechre.

Is his new album good?  I've heard one song on it and I liked it.

I really like his songs "Strobe," and "FML."

I can't stand his music, tbh. I've always found him horribly generic, from the older trance stuff to newer electro house. I never payed much attention to him.

Strobe, not exactly, no pressure, that style of his stuff. Im not impressed with his new album/music. And contrary to most, im not a fan of ghosts 'n' stuff.

He sucks after Random Album Title. All his albums before that were fantastic though. Check out Vexillology and Get Scraped for his lesser known stuff. Full Circle was pretty good too.
