Winnie the Pooh remake
« on: January 26, 2011, 10:55:54 pm »
Ok so i found out about this a few weeks ago and I'm so excited.  The trailer looks like it will be a ligit remake.  I know for a fact hat its hand drawn.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcrTzUBUlZM&feature=fvst

p.s. I cried when i first saw this because i gew up with Winnie the Pooh.  For 2 years of my life it was my life

what do you think of it?
Remember that time with that thing when it ran to that place that was in that city and then exploded.  There was also that time when the other guy with that birth mark who killed that one but the other day when that thing happened to that person.

do you remember?
if you do kudos

...Why is this in Techie Talk?

And I'm VERY excited, seeing as it's disney, a classic, and hand drawn ;n; I loved this when I was a kid.

I brushed it off as soon as I saw the title because I thought it'd be in CGI.

Now that I know it's hand drawn I am totally seeing it! That show was my everything when I was a kid... <3

(I'll move it to general in a sec, since I guess it's about anthropomorphic creatures.)

Oh wow. I saw the trailer on YouTube last week... I am SO excited! Winnie the Pooh was my LIFE back in the day! I especially like how they're going to tie it in with the whole "words-in-the-storybook" setting, that was my favorite part of the original 3 stories.

I'm certainly going to see this. Winnie the Pooh was one of the first cartoons I ever watched and I love the fact that it is 2-D animation. I've honestly gotten so sick of CGI animated films. The only ones I bother to see anymore are PIXAR films.

THIS.

Dude, I want films like The Lion King and Brother Bear and Winnie the Pooh and Bambi back again.
Y'know, the ones done by hand, with real emotions in them and moving music. :c

Same here, I will most likely rent it when it's realeased on DVD.
(I don't get out much)

slightly going of topic, I feel really bad for the new generation (my cousin for example) who are gonna miss out on all the old animated cartoons on TV.....all that's on now are awful CGI remakes of my favorite shows from when I was a kid (Winne the Pooh is a great example).
Don't push the panic button.

The Disney Winne-the-pooh is already a remake, considering they took British books my Dad used to read to me as a child and slapped American accents on them.

Boo Hollywood.

This is awesome I loved winnie the pooh when I was a kid. I like that it's hand drawn I never liked CGI cartoons very much they look like garbage in my opinion.

As a fellow Britfag, I honestly do not see why that is a problem. A quality franchise is still a quality franchise no matter what nationality, race, age or gender it is made by. Why should you judge something as better or worse depending on the who made it instead of how the quality of the show? I mean really, are accents going to change your viewing experience that much?

This is gonna be awesome! Winnie the Pooh was like my favorite movie when I was a kid. I would watch it over and over and over. Lol. And I'm glad it's hand drawn. I've never really like CGI movie, and I haven't even bothered with the last several Disney movies.
